JIM OVIA SCHOLARSHIP FOR ALL CATEGORIES 2018

The Jim ovia scholarship portal is now open for new intakes or beneficiaries. The scholarship pays 150k annually to successful applicants, one may continue to enjoy the dividends of the scholarship as far as one continues to be in there good book, this could be maintaning a stable strong CGPA, not repeating class or carrying over courses. In fact every scholarship has there distinct parameters to keep or withdraw a candidate from a scholarship.

About the Jim Ovia Scholars Program

The Jim Ovia Scholars Program was founded since 1998. It is fully funded by Mr. Jim Ovia to provide financial aid to outstanding Nigeria youths. The scholarship was previously known as the MUSTE scholarship. Eligble awardees are supported for their undergraduate and graduate study for the duration of their program and includes tuition and maintenance allowances. The scheme offers an average of 100 opportunities each year for new applicants while renewing applicants are supported annually, conditional on meeting all eligible requirements of the scholarship. Since October 2010, Mr. Ovia has invested over 100 Million Naira in the program to support 1500 beneficiaries and counting.

In establishing the Jim Ovia Scholarship, Mr. Ovia hoped to create a network of future leaders within Nigeria who can compete globally with their peers, bring new ideas, creativity and are committed to improving the lives and circumstances of people in their respective communities. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of personal intellectual ability, leadership capability and a desire to use their knowledge to contribute to society throughout Nigeria by providing service to their community and applying their talent and knowledge to improve the lives of others. Over time it is expected that the Jim Ovia Scholarship beneficiaries will become leaders in helping to address challenges related to health, technology, and finance, all areas in which the foundation is deeply engaged.

Eligibility and Criteria

The scholarship is open to all potential students of Nigerian citizenship. One hundred (100) awardees are selected each year from a pool of eligible applicants. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of personal intellectual ability, leadership capability and a desire to contribute to society at large to improve the lives of others.   
   
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP 

• You MUST NOT USE AN AGENT to fill out or apply or submit an application
• There is NO PAYMENT REQUIRED to submit an application. Paying an agent is at your own risk and does not guarantee a scholarship award
• You are only allowed to make only ONE SUBMISSION per applicant. Multiple entries will be disqualified
• FALSIFYING or FORGING documents will automatically disqualify you
• Applicant MUST have completed senior secondary school
• Applicants MUST have gained admission into an undergraduate Nigerian University and provide proof of admission
• Applicant MUST have a minimum of five credits in the O/level and will be required to submit a certificate of proof
• Candidate's age MUST not be less than 16 years at time of application
• There are no restrictions to the course or program of study for applicants
• Make sure to provide a reliable means of contact as the email and phone number you enter in this form will be used to contact you
• You MUST provide an email address that has your firstname and lastname in it. Email  MUST be a Gmail or Yahoo account
• All uploaded scanned documents must be clear and legible, unclear documents will be rejected
• You may print the form for your own record before clicking on submit
• Submitting an application does not guarantee an award of the Jim Ovia scholarship
• There is no need to contact the Foundation once you have submitted your application. Those who meet the selection criteria will be shortlisted and contacted by the foundation
